I have been to many salons looking for the right Hairstylist, done endless searching on the internet for reviews on the best salons, only to come up short. I have had my hair colored and cut by other salons and was disappointed in one way or another.

My hair seems to take on a life of its own and each stylist I went to only made my hair look worse. I heard a few people say that Tijeras Shampoo was wonderful and made their hair feel soft and smooth. I decided to try the product and also found the Salon was here in Albuquerque, so I thought I would give both a try. I was extremely happy with their products, as they made my hair feel very soft.

As for the Staff at Tijeras Hair Co., they are the BEST!! Everyone is so knowledgeable. Liz has worked on my hair and they have really taken the time to understand my needs and really go out of their way to make me happy as a customer.

This is THE best hair salon I’ve been too! I’ve always hated my hair and before Liz even touched my head she made me feel so much more confident and attractive with my straight hair. Her attention to detail, professionalism and connection with customers is hard to find. The place is so calming, welcoming and so aesthetic. I mentioned I was a new Mom and it was nice to get alone time. It was as though she put in extra effort to make sure I got pampered. I will be getting my hair done here for my wedding in September! 30 Years and Counting!

After thirty years of patronizing Tijeras Salon I can safely say they are professionals who are pleasant, considerate, and certainly know their business. The salon is filled with light, airy, clean clean clean, and has a happy, welcoming aura.

I have been using the full line of hair care products for over twenty years.

With regards to Tijeras Naturals Hair Care Products, I have been using the full line of hair care products for over twenty years. When my hair was long and without color or perm, the products left my hair with a lustrous finish and a silken weightless touch to say nothing of native fragrance of clove or sage. For years I have been trying to get them to go further with their fragrances native to our enchanting southwest, but they have held fast to their original good choices in fragrance and in price. Time and age has asked me to shorten and color my coiffure. Even with color highlights and the use of heat in my hair grooming, the shine that nature intends is preserved with these products without any sacrifice of volume, manageability, or the silkiest touch.

I’ve wanted to write this for a while, just so you know what you mean to the community and me.

Tijeras Hair Co. has been, for me, the best hair salon I’ve ever been to (and we are talking about 50 years of haircuts and color). What is so wonderful about the salon are the women who own it and those who work there.

Jacque and Liz are two of the most generous women in the city. They are always there to give a hand up to new businesses or to people who need a boost. I love walking into the salon to find artwork, jewelry, and other wonderful items for sale by local artists. They look out for their clientele and treat everyone like family.

Jennifer, who greets you with a genuine smile, is friendly and professional. She works so hard on last minute cancellations (I’m guilty) and can work miracles with the schedule. Leslie is a great stylist with a sparkling upbeat personality who makes everyone feel welcome.

Liz is a master colorist and stylist and I’ve seen her do wonders with my hair and others. I trust her implicity with how she cuts my hair – it always flatters my look. Jacque has years of experience under her belt and can cut both men’s and women’s hair with equal finesse.

I don’t think Liz and Jacque realize the impact they have on their clients, but I think they should know that they make everyone feel good about themselves. I’ve seen them train new graduates out of beauty school and pass on their wealth knowledge to them. They are generous to a fault. That’s what I love about them – that in addition to their expertise, they are good human beings. Thank you for being so kind to me, for making my hair look great, and for being such sweet, caring, and strong women.

I have been a fan of Liz at Tijeras ever since I witnessed an amazing before and after cut/style she did for a client. The client's hair was long enough to sit on, and straight. She was ready to have it cut short. When I saw her emerge after the cut, I was stunned at how cute and stylish her now short hair looked!

Liz is the only one who has ever done a consistently fantastic job of cutting my curly hair. She is masterful with hair color, a great talent of which I have also benefited. And, when I was ready to transition from hair coloring to my natural salt and pepper, she did a phenomenal job!

They have gone many extra miles to ensure a clean and safe environment before, during, and since COVID-19 entered our lives. Through all they have endured, their smiles and friendly service continue to shine.

She's been cutting it for many years. In the last couple of years, she's been coloring it as well. She gives me golden blonde highlights and colors the gray my natural, medium brown. THIRTY SIX YEARS OMG!! It is hard to believe… time really flies. Well, twenty eight years ago on September 24, 1983 I was married to Billy, and you did my hair… can you believe it!! My friends can’t believe I have had the same hairdresser for all those years, 28 years and longer.

Your mom Jacque was cutting my hair when I was at Jefferson Junior High, ha-ha. Now my 17 year-old daughter, Brianna won’t have any one but you cut and style her hair. It’s been great for me and my family having you and Jacque take care of us for all of our special events, routine hair care. Wonder products… and everything else. Many Blessings to you and your mom. I am so pleased with my new color… my real color.

I am so pleased with my new color… my real color. I had been wanting to let my hair go to its natural color gray for a long time. I had been to a couple hair dressers with no luck… I went to Liz at Tijeras salon finally. She highlighted my hair a light color… I liked it OK – it blended with my roots somewhat, but it had a lot of yellow in it still. I prepared myself to just be patient and let it grow… I also wanted to let it grow long… smart huh?

The miracle occurred last week. I went to the salon for a haircut. Jacque decided that Liz could take the yellow out of my hair. Liz painted my hair with some magic potion. My hair is perfect. Truly amazing! My roots are out a couple inches and it is all the same color. Problem solved!

I’ve been entrusting my hair care to Jacque for over 40 years when she had a single-person shop. She’s a barber extraordinaire. Then Liz came of age and experience. She’s a magician with hair color and haircut. You can’t go wrong with Tijeras. They work to get it right.

I really do not recall when I began experiencing the wonders of Tijeras Hair Company—but it was at least 30 years ago. I actually followed a stylist there because I liked the way he cut my hair. He moved on but I stayed because Jacque was so fantastic at the same art. Then I discovered the products and have used nothing but since. The shampoo and conditioner have continually improved and are extremely “hair friendly.” I receive many comments about how healthy my hair appears – all because of Tijeras!
