Perms in Albuquerque
Modern texture and soft waves that look nothing like the perms of the past.

The Perm Has Changed
The perm has come a long way. Today, it’s not about stiff curls or a look that feels stuck in another decade. It’s about soft beach waves, natural body, and movement that works with your hair instead of fighting against it.
Modern perm solutions are gentler, and the techniques are more precise. Your stylist can customize the result around your hair type, your daily routine, and the kind of texture you actually want to wear. If you’ve been curious but hesitant, you’re probably picturing a different era.
Your stylist will help you create something much softer, fresher, and more wearable than the perms people remember from years ago.

Modern Perms
Modern perms are designed around the look you want and the way you wear your hair day to day. During your consultation, your stylist will talk through whether you’re looking for soft body, beachy movement, spiral curls, added texture, or a more natural-looking wave.
Our stylists are trained in modern perm techniques, from soft beach waves and body waves to more defined curl patterns. You bring the inspiration. We’ll handle the rest.
Guys — That Look You’re Seeing Online? We Can Do That
A lot of the looks guys are bringing in right now start with a perm. You might not even know that’s how it’s done. Bring a photo of the style you want, and we’ll tell you what it takes to get there.
Here are some of the looks we work with:
- Broccoli cut (tapered sides, layered curls on top)
- Beach wave
- Body wave
- Soft curl
- Textured crop
- K-wave (soft, natural-looking waves or bends)

Products Chosen With Experience
Jacqueline’s product standards come from decades behind the chair and hands-on experience creating professional hair care products. She learned early that the right shampoo, conditioner, and styling products can change how hair behaves between visits.
Permed hair needs the right support at home to stay soft and healthy. The products your stylist recommends are chosen because they work with chemically processed hair. Using the wrong shampoo or skipping moisture can shorten the life of your perm and affect how your waves or curls behave day to day. Your stylist will point you toward what your specific hair needs. The goal is simple. Protect the result you just invested in.

What to Expect
Your perm appointment begins with a consultation. Your stylist will evaluate your hair’s condition and color history, and talk through the type of wave or curl you want before anything is mixed or wrapped. We’ll talk through what’s realistic for your hair and what your appointment will involve, including timing and investment.
During the appointment, your stylist will prep your hair, wrap it based on your desired result, process and neutralize, then finish and style. Timing varies based on your hair length, density, and the technique used.
Avoid washing your hair for the first 48 hours. Your curl pattern needs time to settle before it’s disturbed. Before you leave, your stylist will walk you through everything you need to know for home care.

Before You Book
